About Us
Tri-County Dental Health Council is a private, charitable
agency that helps low income people and those with special needs find
affordable dental care in their communities.
Tri-County Dental Health Council brings together dental
professionals, educators and volunteers to improve the health and well-being
of the tri-county community. Since 1932, the Council has promoted wider
access to oral health services for underserved people, and has worked
to improve oral health through education and advocacy. Today, Tri-County
Dental Health Council serves thousands of Michigan residents throughout
Wayne, Oakland
and
Macomb
Counties by:
- Improving Access to Dental Care:
- referring disadvantaged tri-county residents to dental professionals
who provide affordable care in public and private facilities.
-
- Offering Volunteer Opportunities:
- coordinating the activities of dental professionals, students and
others who want to give something back to the community.
-
- Providing Advocacy:
- educating policy-makers, advocating for people in need.
-
Programs are funded by United Way for Southeastern
Michigan, Blue Cross Blue Shield
and Blue Care Network of Michigan,
private foundations, state and local dental
associations and individual
charitable donations. Special thanks to
